Note: The meeting will start with the guest speaker at 2pm, followed by the AGM.

Motions to Approve:
                   WHEREAS THE BC GOVERNMENT HAS REVISED THE SOCIETIES ACT AND 
 REQUIRES  THAT NON PROFIT SOCIETIES BE REVISED TO COMPLY WITH THE NEW ACT:
 
            BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE GRANDVIEW WOODLAND AREA COUNCIL
       CONSTITUTION BE REVISED TO READ AS FOLLOWS:

The purpose of the Grandview Woodland Area Council is to provide a forum for the discussion of neighbourhood issues, to assist in taking action to address those issues and to represent the interests, concerns and views of the neighbourhood to government and identified institutions. 
 
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT THE BYLAWS OF THE GRANDVIEW WOODLAND AREA COUNCIL BE REVISED TO BE IN ACCORD WITH SCHEDULE ONE OF THE SOCIETIES REGULATION:
The Grandview Woodland Area Council adopts Schedule 1 of the Societies Regulation as its Bylaws.

We encourage all residents to consider standing for election to the Council.  If you care about your neighbourhood and your neighbours and would like to  see their concerns addressed and to bring new ideas and initiatives, this is your opportunity to do so.  Please consider putting your name forward at the AGM.

NOTE: In order to stand for election, or to vote on the election of Directors it is necessary to be a member (if you are not already registered as a member) You affirm your  membership by signing in with your name, street address and email address; you may also register  as a new member.  A sign-up table will be available at the front door to enroll new members and supply your ballot. 
Please consider coming a bit early to avoid a line-up. The meeting space is booked from 2pm to 4pm.
